Drägerwerk’s existing intranet, D-World, had become hard to navigate and over-crowded with content due to lack of governance. This had led to the platform being underused. Costs for maintenance and operation had risen and the platform wasn’t compatible with agile working methods.

Digital Transformation a step closer with Valo’s social intranet
As part of their digital transformation, Drägerwerk needed a social intranet that would act as a central hub, bringing together 14,000 colleagues from 190 countries.
Valo Intranet, built on top of SharePoint, allowed Drägerwerk to further develop their existing D-World intranet by creating an on-brand environment delivering the latest company news and information.
The new D-World intranet is also a gateway to all the relevant products and tools, allowing employees to do their jobs more easily and efficiently.
Making teamwork easier for more effective collaboration
In addition to Valo Intranet, Drägerwerk has adopted Valo’s governance tool, Valo Teamwork.
Due to Valo Teamwork’s flexibility, Valo Premium Partner novaCapta was able to further customize the platform to consolidate all Drägerwerk’s existing Microsoft 365 Groups and SharePoint sites with their new teams to make them accessible from the dashboard.
With cross-functional teams distributed around the globe or employees belonging to a number of different teams, the user-friendly and personalized Valo Teamwork’s platform has helped improve collaboration and efficiency across the organization.
As a result, Valo’s Premium Partner GIS AG, that was merged with novaCapta in 021, was awarded a Valo Partner Award for “Valo Customization of the Year 2020 EU Winner” for innovatively using Valo Teamwork and its extension capabilities as well as “providing real added value to the end customer”.
