The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2016 took place July 10-14 in Toronto, Canada.
Valo Intranet Team including Business Director Jari Pullinen, Marketing Manager Tiina Manninen, Partner Manager and Office 365 MVP Knut Relbe-Moe and our company CEO Pekka Walkama had a busy week in the Expo Hall meeting new potential Valo Intranet partners from all around the world.
Our aim was to find new Valo Intranet partners from all corners of the world to resell Valo Intranet and build an own business around our product. It is an understatement to say that we had a blast! The event was sold out with over 16 000 participants and excitement around Valo Intranet was tangible. Hundreds and hundreds of SharePoint and Office 365 partners found our colorful booth equipped with beach balls and sunglasses.
During 4 days we had great discussions with Microsoft partners from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Gulf Region, Asia and Australia. Looking forward to doing business with all of you!
Blue Meteorite – the company behind Valo Intranet – was celebrated as the Country Partner of the Year for Finland. We are humbled to receive this recognition.
On Monday we had a privilege to meet the father of SharePoint Jeff Teper (Corporate Vice President, SharePoint and OneDrive) and Seth Patton (General Manager, SharePoint) in a private meeting. Jeff and his team is doing a great job modernizing SharePoint. We got really good insight on Microsoft’s strategy and future plans from Jeff and Seth. Thank you for having us!
As Jeff mentioned in his general session regarding the Future of SharePoint, “intranet-in-a-box” has become a trend. It was great to share thoughts with our colleagues from our competitors like Bonzai Intranet and Powell 365. Innovation is what drives all of us forward!
For me personally the highlight of the week was our Valo Intranet Partner Reception held on Wednesday. Partners from UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Estonia and Morocco gathered together to enjoy the stunning view over Toronto at CN Tower – the third tallest building in the world. Thank you our friends! It was great to meet you all!
Big thanks to all who took their time to visit our booth. We enjoyed many conversations and were impressed by the number of visitors. We also had a raffle at our booth and we’re glad to inform that we have a lucky winner! Peter Carson from Envision IT is the new owner of a GoPro Hero4 action camera, congrats!
Next year WPC will be held in in Washington D.C., US and Valo Intranet will be there.
