During the first week of May 2017 SharePoint intranet professionals from 12 countries gathered together at the historical city of Florence, Italy for the first ever Valo Partner Summit. For me personally it was an honor to host the event for two days – one of the highlights of my career. Thank you Valo Partners – you are amazing!! <3 <3 <3!
Two days were packed with announcements from the Valo Team as well as networking opportunities and knowledge sharing between the partners. Not to forget having a lot of fun together and celebrating success.
Announcements
Product Manager of Valo Intranet Juha Koivula shared the most important announcement at the Valo Partner Summit: SharePoint is being renewed and so is Valo Intranet. During 2017 Valo Intranet will be transformed to Modern SharePoint and we are fixing the Microsoft collaboration chaos with a totally new concept called Teamwork 2.0.
Juha showed the first time ever publicly some screenshots from the upcoming Valo Intranet features. Amazing stuff coming! Keep following us for further announcements.
Partner Success Stories
The secret ingredient in Valo Intranet’s global success is our worldwide partner network. 67 Valo Intranet partners in 26 countries are building awesome intranet experiences to customers from all industries. It was amazing to hear success stories from Valo Partners all around the world. Portiva, a Valo Partner from the Netherlands, showcased one of the most epic stories: they built a beautiful new intranet for VodafoneZiggo in just a couple of weeks. Without Valo Intranet that couldn’t have been possible.
No other intranet product has so large support from the worldwide SharePoint community. Our business is 100% based on our partners. When our partners are blooming, we have succeeded. When our joint customers praise our partners, we have also succeeded. The great thing of being a global ecosystem is that partners can learn from each other. During the Summit we heard also Valo Partner Success Stories from partners from Belgium (Xylos), Finland (Blue Meteorite), France (Nelite), Klarinet Solutions (US) and Spain (Tres60). Valo Partner Awards 2017
The highlight of the first evening were the Valo Partner of the Year 2017 Awards. Three finalists for the Partner of the Year Award (Klarinet, Portiva and Xylos) were announced already before the Summit. From the three finalists Klarinet Solutions from San Diego (US) was selected to be the Valo Partner of the Year 2017. Huge congrats to the Klarinet team! Klarinet’s Matt Fishman was also awarded with the Valo Contributor of the Year Award for his outstanding commitment to Valo Intranet.
Portiva and VodafoneZiggo received an award for the Customer Success Story of the Year. Marketing Master of the Year was Pythagoras from the UK and the Customization of the Year Award went to Tres60 from Spain. Congrats to all winners!
