Microsoft Inspire 2018, co-located with Microsoft Ready, brought partners and employees together for a record-breaking event! This year’s conference had 18,000 attendees from 132 countries, making it the biggest to date! Even with a record-breaking number of attendees, Valo still managed to turn heads with our intranet in-a-box, and especially, our new version built on Modern SharePoint!
This marks the third year that Valo Intranet sponsors Microsoft Inspire. With an incredible event now behind us, and more to come, we will undoubtedly continue on as a sponsor in the coming years!
There were many great corenote moments throughout the event but what stood out to us was what Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, had to say. During his corenote, something really spoke to and aligned with us here at Valo!
We’ve got to measure ourselves not by technology for technology’s sake, but [by] how we are empowering people? How are we helping organizations with their digital transformational outcomes? That’s what this is all about.
Now, let’s look back at some of the highlights from the event!
There’s A New Way to Fall In Love With Valo!
There were many great exhibitors at Microsoft Inspire 2018 but that didn’t stop our Intranet in-a-box from stepping into the spotlight.
With Modern Workplace being the focal point of Microsoft Inspire, we thought it would be a great place to showcase the newest version of our intranet-in-a-box, utilizing Modern SharePoint. Since Valo is one of the first companies to develop a fully functioning product on Modern SharePoint, the topic had a lot of visitors excited. It was a big part of the discussions we had, with the hundreds of companies that came to discover why so many have fallen in love with Valo!
Valo In The Spotlight
Between the expansion of our offices to North America, located in Montreal, winning ClearBox’s Best Value Category for Intranet in-a-box 2018 and hitting over a million happy users, this has already been quite the year!
Of course, every great ship needs an even greater captain! That is why we were proud to discover that Jari Pullinen, Vice-President of Valo Intranet, was recognized as one of Microsoft Inspire’s 60 thought leaders you should follow at Inspire!
Jari wasn’t the only one in the spotlight at this year’s event.
On Tuesday, Valo’s Vlad Catrinescu, Sales Executive, Product Evangelist and Microsoft MVP, shared the stage with Gokan Ozcifci, Microsoft Reginal Director and MVP. At one of the community talks, Transforming Existing Process with Business Apps and Microsoft 365, Vlad and Gokan showcased Microsoft Flow and Power Apps functionality within our Intranet!

Along with Vlad and Gokan, Matt Geimer, Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, also took the stage the following day where he demonstrated Valo Intranet in his session – Tailored Experiences for Every Need with Office 365 Partner Applications.

Microsoft Inspire is about more than just getting a chance to showcase our amazing product. It’s about learning, shaking hands and celebrating with new and old partners alike.
With such a large gathering of like-minded people, we wanted to take the opportunity and give back by providing our partners, and business acquaintances, with an opportunity to swing away the stress from the long, busy days of the event. Which is why we had our Valo party, on Tuesday night, at Top Golf.

Valo Love at First Sight!
As we mentioned earlier, one of the reasons we all go to Inspire is to shake hands, and that we did with a brand-new addition to our incredible group of partners!
After hearing about Valo a few times, Jolly P Joseph, from Titan Technologies INC, decided to do some research and see for himself why everyone was talking about Valo’s Intranet in-a-box. After being blown away and reaffirming everything he had heard, we are excited to announce, Titan Technologies INC joined our team of expert partners, as the newest addition to the Valo Family!
