One of the original Valo Team Members, Tech Lead and Mobile Developer Tomi Tavela is a Finalist in the category of “Best Community Contribution” with his SP Editor at the European SharePoint Community 2019 Awards!
SP Editor is a free Google Chome extension tool for all developers working with SharePoint. It includes features like PnPjs Console, Search and WebHooks bringing developing SharePoint to a more unified platform.
The tool was developed five years ago when one of the first Valo intranet in-a-box releases was being built. All the web parts were put up together using the tool as it made it so much faster and easier. Tomi felt he wanted to share the open-source tool with everyone in the community to advance the community and provide the developers with the possibility to enhance their initiatives and SharePoint.
The community has taken the tool in use and it has gained an average of 10 000 weekly users.
Today it finally happened, #chromespeditor broke 10K current users milestone \o/ Thanks to all users and contributors ❤️ #SharePoint #office365dev v6 rewrite in the oven, stay tuned! get yours here –> https://t.co/4y8J088FOc pic.twitter.com/dQzqua3ExA

SP Editor is a free time project
SP Editor is something Tomi, with the help of the community, keeps developing during his free time.
I wouldn’t be one of the finalists without the amazing SharePoint/O365 community! I learned everything from the community, the SP Editor project is my way of giving something back.
Congratulations Tomi Tavela from the whole Valo Team!
Valo Product Family is also a Finalist in two categories: Best Intranet/Extranet Solution and for the Most Innovative SharePoint Solution. Winners will be announced at ESPC19 in Prague, December 4.
